The Adverts foi uma banda punk inglesa formada 1976 e que terminou no final de 1979. Eles foram uma das primeiras bandas a tocar punk rock e concomitantemente desfrutar o sucesso comercial.
A banda foi formada em 1976 por T.V Smith e Gaye Advert. Smith e Advert eram ambos de Bideford, uma pequena cidade costeira, em Devon. Depois de se mudar para Londres, os dois jovens punks recrutaram o guitarrista Pickup e o baterista Driver e The Adverts nasceram.
