Trilhas sonoras de filmes são lançadas para qualquer coisa que chegue à telona. Muitas apresentam músicas incidentais chatas. Algumas trilhas sonoras, no entanto, resistem à prova do tempo. É disso que trata esta lista. Ela não é uma lista definitiva, de modo algum. Estes são apenas dez grandes álbuns de trilhas-sonoras.

Não sou muito fã da novela niilista de Bret Easton Ellis, também, mas a trilha sonora estelar é uma seleção de rock dos anos 80 e rap, incluindo "Life Fades Away" de Roy Orbison, "You And Me (Less Than Zero)" de Glen Danzig, a icônica "Bring The Noise" do Public Enemy e "Going Back To Cali" de LL Cool J. Tem também uma versão do Slayer para a música "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida".
